The Minimal Window system: a sliding door system with minimal profile view.
At the beginning of 2009, Keller AG unveiled a completely new concept at the world’s largest construction trade fair: Minimal Window, which won the “Innovation Award for Architecture”.
Minimal Window is an almost profile-free system for fixed and sliding glass sections. This creates up to almost 4-metre high glass surfaces, both fixed and sliding components, without disruptive profiles. After years of development, we have created the perfect solution in this new concept.

Glas Ceyssens start recent met de productie van het meest geavanceerde glasisolatiesysteem ter wereld, met name Heat Mirror-glas. Een unieke glassoort die ruim voldoet aan de nieuwe EBP-norm.
Uniek
Heat Mirror-glas is een extreem zonwerend en isolerend glas dat niet alleen de koude maar ook de hitte weert. De unieke Heat Mirror folie laat het licht door maar reflecteert de warmtestralen in beide richtingen. In de zomer blijft de hitte buiten en in de winter blijft de warmte binnen. De temperatuur achter het glas blijft nagenoeg constant.
procédé
Het procédé is gebaseerd op een -voor de ruimtevaart ontwikkelde- infrarood en ultraviolet werende folie tussen 2 glasruiten. Het resultaat is dat het Heat Mirror-glas een multifunctionele beglazing is waarbij er geen compromis meer moet gemaakt worden tussen isolatievermogen, stralingsvermogen, stralingstransmissie, lichtinval, uv-filtering,geluidsisolatie en samenstelling. Heat Mirror-glas biedt dé optimale combinatie ongeacht glasplaatdikte-, -samenstelling, -kleur en -vorm.
Voordelen
- zonweringsystemen en airco worden haast overbodig, ook bij grote glasoppervlakten zoals bijvoorbeeld in kantoren of gebouwen
- een significante energiebesparing
- er wordt 50% minder geluid doorgelaten in vergelijking met gewoon glas
- er is geen verkleuring meer van het interieur
- zichtbare optische vervormingen door glas zijn onbestaande bij Heat Mirror
